Privacy Statement for the data subject personal data processing according to Legislative Decree June 30, 2003 - n. 196 consolidated ("Privacy Code")
According to Section 13 of the Privacy Code, the company The North Face Italy S.r.l., with registered office at Via Levada, n. 145/A, 31040 Pederobba (TV) – Italy (hereinafter referred to as “TNF”), in its capacity as Data Controller of the data processing system, wishes to offer you the following information.
Your personal data processing through TNF website: http://www.thenorthface.com/eu/ (hereinafter "the Site") shall be handled in observance of the Site Privacy Policy – click
here to display it - the obligations regarding confidentiality which inspire the work of TNF and the standards in force on the matter of the protection of personal data.
The Site deploys cookies; for further information on cookies, how to disable them and on the data processing performed through them please refer to the section of the Privacy Policy specifically devoted to cookies, available

The process will concern the data supplied by you during interaction with the Site (e.g.: request for information, subscription to the “Runner Locator” tool and/or the contest/prize-draw), when filling in the appropriate forms contained in the specific sections of the Site where data is gathered and also, where lawful, on the data obtained form third parties in the course of our business activity; the process will also be carried out using information and manual means according to procedures and logics strictly connected to the process aims specified herein.
With your consent, which is optional, we may also collect general and particular data on you and we will use said data and information for profiling and marketing purposes, notably to carry out statistical surveys as well as to send you periodic communications through the newsletter that you can subscribe to on the Site containing information on our products, on TNF and promotional or marketing events, such as the “ULTRA TRAIL DU MONT BLANC” EVENT”, and other similar initiatives organized by TNF or to which TNF takes part to (for example, events sponsorships, information on the activities of the sponsored athletes), including possible invitations to said events and initiatives. You can always oppose receiving marketing communications through e-mal: every communication will contain a special section indicating the methods for withdrawing your consent.
The data is processed by TNF together with the Data Processor - as defined in the Privacy Policy – to the therein set forth limited extent, in compliance with the security provisions as set forth by applicable laws and regulations, with specific but not limited reference to Annex B to the Privacy Code (Technical Specifications Concerning Minimum Security Measures). The data processing is carried out by minimising the use of personal and identification data so as to exclude their processing when they are not necessary in relation to the processing purposes from time to time pursued.
Your personal data are processed for the following purposes: (i) to profile your personal data; (ii) to send you, also via e-mail, commercial information on TNF and/or answers to your questions; (iii) to manage your interaction with the Site and the services and functionalities offered through the Site, with specific reference to your participation to the contest/prize-draw and/or to your subscription to the “Runner Locator” tool; and (iv) to comply with obligations imposed by laws, regulations and Community legislation and to establish or defend a legal claim of TNF. With your consent, data will also be processed for marketing purposes as above specified.
Providing of your data for the activities necessary to comply with applicable legislation is mandatory; for the supplying of the information and answers required by you and to manage your interaction with the Site and the services and functionalities offered through the Site as above described is necessary. Denial of providing your data would make it impossible for TNF to provide you with the requested information, answers and activities as above specified.
The above being stated, for statistical and marketing purposes the supply of your personal data is optional; denial of providing your data for said purposes will have no consequence.
Data will be accessible within TNF organization only, by the internal and external personnel that need to access them because of their duties and position in relation to the processing purposes above specified as persons charged with data processing operations, and by the Data Processor to the limited extent of processing your participation to the contest/prize-draw,. The complete and updated references of the Data Processor and of the subjects to which data may be communicated will remain at your disposal free of charge upon request at TNF.
TNF may communicate your personal data to institutions, authorities, public entities, banks and financial institutions, professionals, independent consultants, also in associate form, third parties to which TNF may revert to in relation to the processing purposes herein specified for performance of business, professional and technical services, and also to whoever is the legitimate addressee of communications as provided by applicable laws and regulations. Data may also be communicated to other companies and subsidiaries of the TNF group that will process data according to applicable privacy legislation for performance of the processing activities and achievement of the processing purposes herein specified; and to third parties in case of mergers, acquisitions, transfer of assets, products, sites or operations. The third parties above mentioned will receive only the information necessary to performance of their respective functions. It is understood that your personal data will not be shared with third parties, natural persons or legal entities, that are unrelated to, or that do not perform a business, professional or technical function for TNF and will under no circumstance be spread.
TNF informs you that you are entitled at any moment to enforce your rights as provided by Section 7 of the Privacy Code, including but not limited to the right to obtain at any moment confirmation that your personal data exist or do not exist, verify their content, origin and accuracy, ask for their integration, updating, amendment, deletion, transformation in anonymous form, block for breach of laws and regulations, and you may oppose for legitimate reason the data processing.

Solari, n. 11, 20144 - Milan, Italy.
You may contact TNF by traditional mail or by fax to the aforementioned addresse or simply sending an e-mail by means of the proper form provided in the Site, to exercise your rights as provided for in article 7 of Legislative decree no. 196, dated June 30th 2003, printed in full below.
TNF communicates that, for your personal data processing in relation to the issue, also by e-mail, of communication/questions/comments, to comply with obligations imposed by current legislation, as well as to establish or defend a legal claim of TNF, is not required in accordance with art. 24 of the Privacy Code, since said data processing by TNF is functional to carry out what is required by You.
Art. 7 (Right to access personal data and other rights)
- The data subject has the right to obtain confirmation of the existence or otherwise of its personal data, even when it has not yet been registered, and its communication in intelligible form.

The data subject has the right to obtain indication:
- a) on the origin of the personal data;
- b) on the process aims and methods;
- c) on the logic applied in the case of processing with the aid of electronic instruments;
- d) on the identification of the controller, the managers and the designated representative in accordance with article 5, subsection 2;
- e) on the subjects and the categories of subjects to whom the personal data may be communicated or who become aware of it in their capacity as designated representative within the territory of the State, managers or appointees.

The data subject has the right to obtain:
- a) the update, adjustment or, if necessary, completion of the data;
- b) the cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blockage of the data processed in violation of the law, including data which need not be kept in relation to the purposes for which it has been collected or subsequently processed;
- c) the confirmation that the operations listed under letters a) and b) have been brought to the knowledge, also with regard to their contents, of all those whose data have been communicated or distributed, apart from in the case in which this is impossible or requires the use of means which are clearly out of proportion compared with the right defended./li>
